Roger Erickson, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. 

Roger was born in Muskegon, MI on January 23, 1932, the son of Douglas Erickson and Catherine Schaffer.  Roger was a commissioned officer and Air Ranger in the US Army.  He never tired of describing the 18 times he parachuted during his time in the service.  After a very successful career as a Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) running his own insurance agency, Roger spent the last three decades of his career in fulltime ministry as vice president of CBMC and president of CBMC International.

Roger left a legacy with his family and with the men he discipled that will follow him for generations to come.  Roger and his beloved wife Mary Ann are survived by his three daughters, Dianne, Cathy (Bub) and Tracy; son Roger Jr. (Donna);  10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral service celebrating his life will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Chattanooga First Seventh-day Adventist, 7450 Standifer Gap Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37421 “the temporary home of Grace Baptist Church.” A private graveside  will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
