Nancy (Karnes) Darnell

Nancy Karnes Darnell, 83, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born on July 3, 1936, in Charlotte, NC. She was of Baptist faith and lifelong homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Richard Darnell.

She is survived by her children, Sherri Smiley, Rick (Stephanie) Darnell, and Jeff (Cathy) Darnell all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Alyson (Tim Stuarte) McArthur, Brooke (Shane) Burrow, Tyler Darnell, Ethan (Kevin) Darnell, Lucas Darnell, Danielle (Paul) Weese, Nicole (Zach) Davis, Jacob Darnell; and great grandchildren, Roan McArthur, Devin Burrow, Parker Burrow, Georgia White, and Claire Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Mason officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
