Joan Larson

Joan Larson, 88, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 due to complications of the covid virus. She will be remembered for her sweet, gentle spirit.

She was born in Rockford, IL, on May 11, 1932 and was employed for 19 years at Provident Insurance Company in Chattanooga before retiring in 1995.

She is survived by her daughter, Janine “Jan” Larson of Chattanooga, TN; son, Curt Larson of California; 3 grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren.

The family deeply appreciated her friends and caretakers at Standifer Place who cared for her in so many ways during the last several years.

Special thanks should be given to the physicians and staff of the CDC unit at Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. They really are our hero’s.
