Helen Durham Lowe, 92, of Stephenville, Texas completed her earthly journey on June 29, 2020. Until recent years, she was a life-long resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Born August 26, 1927, she spent her employed years working in retail at the Frances Shop and Lovemen’s Department Store. Active in women’s ministry for many years, Helen hosted Women’s AGLOW Fellowship in her home. She and her late husband, Joseph O. Lowe, Jr., were members of Lee Highway Church of God.
Survivors include daughter Duanea R. Armes (Paul) of Stephenville, Texas; step-daughter Mary Luker (Tony) of Goose Creek, South Carolina; granddaughters Sarah Thompson (Tim) of Stephenville, Texas and Ashley Cox (Aaron) of San Antonio, Texas; six great-grandchildren: Gage, Colton, Harper, and Knox Thompson and Elyse and Evelyn Cox; brother, Johnny Durham of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; nieces Charlene Murray and Donna Camp of Chattanooga; nephew Billy Ray Durham of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; and sister-in-law Drew Lowe of Chattanooga.
Due to Covid 19, there will be no funeral service. A memorial is planned for a later date. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
