Glenda Faye (Roberts) Oaks

Glenda Faye Roberts Oaks, 79, of South Pittsburgh, went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2019.

She was a current member of the South Pittsburgh Church of God and had served as a COG pastor’s wife in several other Tennessee cities.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, I.N. & Grace Roberts; brothers, R.T. Roberts, Wayne Roberts, and Ronnie Roberts.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Charles L. Oaks; sons, Chris (Tracy) Oaks of Sevierville, Greg (Heather ) Oaks of Chattanooga; daughter, Lea Ann Oaks Garner of South Pittsburg (fiancé Roger Whitehead); brothers, Wally Roberts of Deland, FL., F.D. (Carol) Roberts of Chattanooga; sisters, Geneva Bennett of Chattanooga, Wilda Curtis of Cedar Bluff, AL; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Reverends Charles L. Oaks and Craig Cutshaw officiating. Interment will be on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10:30 AM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend David Swanner officiating.
