Gary DeWayne Madgett, 66, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. Gary was born on Feb. 25, 1954, in Knoxville, TN, to Roy and Betty Madgett, both have preceded him in death. Gary was a proud veteran who served in Vietnam and Korea in the U.S. Army. He attended college at Texas Tech University and was employed as a service engineer at Siemens Medical for 39 years. Gary was an expert in his field and was loved by all his customers in healthcare. He had a passion for landscaping, his Harley Davidson, and traveling with his beloved wife.
Gary is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cindy; 3 sons, Travis (Krystal), Trent (Gracie), and Chase (Jessalin); his grandchildren, Easton, Raylynn, and Jace; his mother-in-law, Austine Bowman; his father-in-law, Roy (Linda) Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Bill Owens officiating. A burial will take place at 11 AM, Monday, August 17, 2020, at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
We will be following the CDC guidelines with social distancing and facial covering, now required by Hamilton County, for the visitation and service.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Rd. Chattanooga, TN 37421, and one hour prior to services on Wed. Aug. 12.
