Floyd E. Lawler, Sr., 82, of Ooltewah, died peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021, at home with his family.
Floyd was born in Chattanooga, to the late Floyd J. and Ruth (Hodge) Lawler. He was also preceded in death by his son, Floyd E. Lawler, Jr.
Floyd served our country in the U.S. Army and retired as Postmaster of Tunnel Hill, GA. He loved fishing, hunting, and being with his family. Floyd was a deacon of Temple Baptist and currently a member of Parkway Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Wanda Lawler; his daughters, Debbie Samarripas, and Kim (Brian) Bailey; his siblings, Bobby (Pat) Lawler and Mildred (James) Lowery; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, October 24, at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel with Brother Bob McCoy officiating. Interment will take place at 1:30 PM on Monday, October 25, at Chattanooga National Cemetery where military honors will be performed.
