Elizabeth Jane (Simmons) Youngberg

Elizabeth Jane Youngberg, 89, of Ooltewah, TN passed away Friday, May 20, 2022.

 Elizabeth was born on July 20, 1932 in Bowling Green, KY to Granville Perry and Etta Mae Simmons.  She had 13 brothers and sisters. Beth received her nurses training at Wildwood Lifestyle Center in Georgia where she met her husband, James Rowland Youngberg, of 57 years.  She worked as a surgical nurse at Tidewater Memorial Hospital and then as a Physical Therapist assistant there.  As her kids got older, she worked as a third shift nurse at different retirement homes to put her kids through church school.  Her life and love was for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, James Rowland Youngberg; two sons, Bruce Alan Youngberg and David Rowland Youngberg.

 Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Youngberg) Klinger (Dean); six grandchildren, Brandon Freck (Betty), Billy Freck (Emily), Heidi Dull (Jason), Tracy Wells (Ray), Alan Youngberg (Hannah) and Seth Hobbie (Brooklyn) and her great-grandchildren.

 A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Harrison Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 8419 Highway 58, Harrison, TN 37341.

 The family wants to give special thanks to Brenda and Alyssa with Avalon Hospice for their love and care they showed Beth and the family.

 Memorial contributions can be made to Avalon Hospice 7348 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

 The family will be accepting floral arrangements at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road on Saturday May, 28, 2022. All floral arrangements are to be delivered by 1PM.
