Eddie Tallent, Jr.

James Edward “Eddie” Tallent, Jr. 56 of Apison , went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2021, after a 14 month battle of Pancreatic Cancer. He was at home and was surrounded by his loving family as he took his last breath. He was a lifelong resident of the East Brainerd /Apison area and a truck driver for McKee Foods for over 30 years. Eddie was loved by everyone he met and never met a stranger. He was passionate about helping others and never expected anything in return. He loved riding his Harley with friends and he enjoyed racing dirt bikes and helping at the CXC and SORCS races.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Chandra Tallent of Apison. Parents James and Lois Tallent of Ooltewah, father and mother-in-law James (Barbara) Boone of Apison ; sisters: Diane (Greg)Bates of Ooltewah ; Gail Tallent of East Brainerd; Tammy (Jody) Wood of Apison. Brother in law Jim (Diane) Boone of Pikeville. Children: Courtney (Ryan) Burdett of East Brainerd; Trey (Keri) Tallent of Ringgold. Nephews: Mark Bates of Harrison; Casey (Brooke) McKenzie of Dietrich, IL; Logan Wood of Apison, TN; James Boone of Murfreesboro; Andrew (Kandis) Boone of Canton, GA; Aaron Boone of Loretto, TN. Nieces: Danya Bellomy of Ooltewah; Ashley (Sean) McQueen of Dietrich, IL. Grandchildren, Presley Wysong, Cash Burdett and Crue Burdett all of East Brainerd. Several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 9, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in East Brainerd. Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev Mike James officiating. His final resting place will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens South, with Dr Doug Plumlee officiating.
