David G. Mansfield

David G. Mansfield, 85, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of East Ridge TN on Saturday March 28, 2020.
 

Dave was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England on April 27, 1934.  He was a high school music teacher for 30 years until emigrating with his wife and two sons to the USA in January 1983.  In the summer of 1983, he bought East Ridge Bicycles where he worked up until his retirement at 75, whereby his sons, Wayne & Garth took over the business.

He was a church organist at Chattanooga First Church of Seventh-Day Adventists until the age of 80 when his Parkinson’s disease prevented him from continuing this much loved service for the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; two sons, Wayne Mansfield (spouse Cheryl), and Garth Mansfield (spouse Janna); 3 granddaughters; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a small family service will be held Friday, April 3rd at Collegedale Memorial Park with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating.
