Bobbie Ruth Jenkins

Bobbie Ruth Jenkins, 90, of East Ridge passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at her home.

Born in Chickamauga, GA., to the late E. Fred Smith and Catherine Moore Smith, Bobbie was a longtime resident of Hamilton County.

She retired as a dental hygienist after 43 years of service and was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.   Bobbie was also a member of the Positive Christian Singles Group of which she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jenkins; and her sister, Virginia Smith Dabbs.

She is survived by her daughter, Candice (Harold) Thrower, Rossville;  sister, Lucinda (Jerry) Messerly, Chattanooga;  granddaughter, Jordan (Kris) Young;  two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Audrey Young, all of Rossville, GA.; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 27th at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Mrs. Jenkins will be laid to rest with her husband at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
