Billy Lee Roy Sholtz Sr.

Billy Lee Roy Sholtz Sr., 76, of Ooltewah, passed away November 18, 2021 after a four-year battle with cancer.

He was a lifelong resident of Ooltewah, TN. and of the Baptist faith. He "Sholtz" retired from the City of East Ridge Sanitation Department after 38 years of service.

Billy was an honest, hard working family man with a big heart and great sense of humor. He loved fishing and spending time with his family and lil’ dog "Rascal".

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alexander & Eva Sholtz, 11 siblings, and two sons, Billy Sholtz Jr. & Vernon Alexander Sholtz.

Survived by his wife of 55 years, Earnestine "Teenia" Sholtz; daughter, Eva "Fancy" Sholtz; son-in-law Lyle Zink; and best friend/dog "Rascal"; three Grandsons, Billy (Selina) Sholtz of Cleveland TN., Dakota Sholtz of Ooltewah, TN., and Jeff (Amber) Dunn of Ringgold, GA; six grandkids, Kylie Shipley, Bryson Sholtz, Hudson Sholtz, Ava Sholtz, Alexander Sholtz, and Abagail Dunn; sister, Cindy Kay Abbott of Moriaty, New Mexico.

The family will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Home in East Brainerd; on Tuesday November 24 from 2-8 PM and Wednesday from 11-1 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Terry Kesley officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
