Beverly Alley, 85, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
Beverly was born in Hammond, IN, where she grew up with her six siblings and later met the love of her life, Clifford Alley. Always smiling and laughing, Beverly made friends everywhere she went. She was an involved member of her community, she was active with the school PTA, a Girl Scout Troop leader, a member of the water skiing club, and she belonged to a 1700’s Fur Traders Re-Enactments Group. Beverly loved to travel and camp with her family, and she was a talented artist and crafter.
She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN, Goreville Baptist Church in Southern IL and a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Clifford; parents, Jay and Marie Plopper; five siblings and a grandson, Jason Heacker.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Herman) Heacker; son, Clifford (Jennifer) Alley Jr.; brother, Raymond Plopper; grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick) Abrams, Aaron (Rachel) Alley, Alexa Alley, and Austin Alley and her great-grandson, Conor Abrams.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, September 21 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank her Brainerd Hills family for all of their love, support, and friendship over the years.
