Benjamin Flores

Mr. Benjamin Flores age 78, of Ooltewah, TN, and long-life resident of Arlington, VA passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Mr. Flores was born in Lajas, Puerto Rico, on October 16, 1943, the son of the late Ricardo Flores and Ramona Vargas Flores. He was a member of the Burke Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Burke, VA. Mr. Flores always placed God first in his life. He retired from Washington DC VA Medical Center as a registered nurse after forty years of faithful service. Also, he enjoyed managing and working in his bookbinding business. Mr. Flores loved watching his grandchildren in sports and music programs. He will be remembered most for his love of God and family, and being a true gentleman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Flores was preceded in death by his brothers, Guillermo Flores, Juan Flores, Jorge Flores, and Osvaldo Flores; and a sister, Flor Maria Flores.

Survivors include his wife, Celeste Flores, to whom he married on July 3, 1966; son, Ricardo Flores (Rosemarie); two daughters, Benilda Flores-Bonilla (Oscar) and Brenda Aurora Flores-Lopez (Carlos); seven grandchildren, Emilie Rose Flores, Lindsey Aurora Bonilla, Ricardo Flores, Jr., Sabrina Aurora Lopez, Cynthia Maria Bonilla, Ryan Benjamin Lopez, and Jessica Marie Flores; brother, Epifanio Flores (Rosita); two sisters, Rosa Candida Torres (Wilfredo) and Ramonita Eatman (Charles), and several loved nieces and nephews.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Monday, November 29, 2021, from 10:45 A.M. until the funeral hour at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday at 11:30 A.M. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Collegedale Memorial Park.
