Ben Frank Pendergrass

Ben Frank Pendergrass, 100, of Hixson passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Born in Birchwood, TN to the late Jesse and Martha Pendergrass, he was a graduate of Birchwood High School and McKenzie Business College.

Mr. Pendergrass retired from Western Union and was a 32degree Mason.

He was a member of Birchwood Baptist Church and previously of Chamberlain Memorial Baptist Church in Chattanooga where he had served as a choir director.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Mantooth Pendergrass and 7 siblings.

He is survived by his two daughters, Linda Pendergrass Thomas, Hixson and Frankie Pendergrass Honeycutt, Murfreesboro;  six grandchildren, Jeff Whitfield, Nathan Whitfield, Benjamin (Bonnie) Whitfield, Jenny Whitfield (Armando) Castro, Kenneth Honeycutt, and Derrick Honeycutt; four great-grandchildren, Amon Whitfield, Luna Castro, Magnolia Whitfield, and Stella Castro.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 7th at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be private.
