Barbara Ann Lemons, 89, of East Brainerd went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2022.
A resident of Chattanooga since 1984, Mrs. Lemons was a longtime member of The Crossing -formerly East Ridge Church of God, of which her late husband pastored from 1984 – 1994.
Mrs. Lemons served the Lord faithfully and graciously as a pastor’s wife to the late Rev. John E. Lemons, Sr. for over 53 years. She and her husband served in various positions within the Church of God for many years.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Chauncey; parents, D.C. & Hester Frye, and sister, Sandra Propst.
Mrs. Lemons is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Terry) Snapp, Ooltewah; son, John (Joan) Lemons, Soddy-Daisy; four grandchildren, Blake (Sarah) Snapp, Andrew (Mitchell) Chauncey, Matthew (Ashley) Lemons, and Steven (Laci) Lemons; three great-grandchildren, Luke Snapp, Avery Snapp, and Addison Lemons; two sisters, Darlene (Phil) Huffman, Taylorsville, N.C. and Jill (Jim) Hildebran, Hickory, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20th at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Harris, Rev. Chad Harris, Rev. Grant Chauncey, and Rev. Blake Snapp officiating. A private family burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Matthew Lemons, Steven Lemons, Luke Snapp, Winfred Gearrin, Gary Gill, and Greg Burgess.

The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm Friday at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
